Around two weeks ago I had a fall off bars, and hurt my ankle/foot. After many xrays and mris, I finally have the results. I am waiting to see a specialist or physio, however I would just like to know if anyone has had any experience with the following so I can wrap my head around it (currently unsure as to what much of it means).

Anterior talofibular ligament and calcaneofibular ligaments are ruptured.
Calcaneofibular ligament avulsed from tip of fibula.
Small bone fragment avulsed from the fibula measuring 3.9mm and several other fragments noted off the tip.
Deltoid ligament contused.
Bone bruising on the medial talus.
Tenosynvitis of the tibialis posterior tendon and the peroneal tendon (presumed post traumatic).
Small ankle joint effusion.

I am not asking for medical advice specifically, just to know if anyone has had any experience, what healing time/procedures were like and what exactly it means, just so I know what to expect. Thank you :)

Poo that's quite the list. I have no ankle injury experience (not yet, and I don't hope to get it either. Just coming back from a serious knee injury right into a serious shoulder injury now), I just want to say good luck with the recovery proces!

Oh my goodness, thats quite something. I am just coming off tearing my deltoid ligament and damage to my ATFL and CFL, so far it has been seven weeks and still going, obviously each case is different but you can probably expect full recovery to take around 4-6 months or so :( Injuries suck, but the best thing you can do is keep doing what you can, whether its stretching, conditioning or just being at practice. Good luck with recovery and I hope it gets better soon!
