If the routine was close to perfect except hitting feet on pirouette what’s the best score possible?

My daughter thinks 9.7, however she's not a judge and her text adds, "Depends on how much, though", so I'm guessing she thinks how much a kids' feet touch impacts the score. Someone else will probably have a more exact answer. :D

Hitting the feet is 0.1, 0.3 or 0.5 depending on whether brush, touch or full support. But there is usually something wrong that led to the hit, usually lateness of turn completion in pirouette, up to 0.3. And often form deductions on the Kip following, bent knees up to 0.3, lack of glide extension up to 0.1, bent arms up to 0.3. I don’t think I have ever seen a gymnast hit their feet after a pirouette without some form deductions on the Kip following. Realistically somewhere around 9.0 or in the low 9’s is usually best case scenario if rest of routine perfect.

Thank you that helps

The hitting the feet before of after pass under low relates to the pak salto. Would still get credit for pirouette no matter where feet hit.
I may be not remembering correctly but having a daughter who was continually hitting her feet before the bar in meets, somehow not as much in practice, I thought they gave her the deduction for a fall plus the form issues. Her start value would be flashed as a 10.0 which must have included the pirouette. She was very much not a fan of bars so I don’t think she had an extra B in there.

Me again, there has been a lot of unexpected stuff going on.

We may need to be making some changes. She wants her senior year. She doesn’t want to do L9 as an event specialist.

Regarding current level 8 bar requirement. I’m told they can replace the pirouette with something else. A release move perhaps? If so which one? And I’m talking simple, relatively speaking.

The most common one I have seen is a bail to horizontal. Others have been a straddle back and an uphill. No one at my daughter’s gym does an alternative to the pirouette so I only know from watching at meets.

Straddle cut, bail, straddle back and toe Hecht/uphill/toe up/chinese hiccup(this goes by many a name) are the most common seen as alternative to the pirouette. It’s also always an option, especially for a senior, to just take the 9.5 start value and go for a clean routine making sure have all value parts.
kip A
squat-on jump to high A
kip A
cast handstand B
clear hand B(C)
giant B
giant B
flyaway A (would do a B or C flyaway if kid is capable as backup value part in routine in case don’t hit angle in cast and don’t get the B)

As long as level 8’s connect their dismount from a B they get no composition deductions, so a clean 9.5 SV routine on bars can still score well.
