I am trying to understand start value for Level 10. Here is an example floor routine:

Front Layout-Front Rudy
Switch Ring to Switch Side
Front Layout-Front Pike
1 1/2 turn
Roundoff-1 1/2

Can you explain how the start value would be calculated? Can you break it out?

Thanks!

Gladly:
Front Layout + Front rudy = B + D (+0.2 CV, +0.1 D)
Switch ring + switch side = C + C (+0.1 CV)
Front layout + front pike = B + B (0.1 CV)
1 1/2 turn = B
Roundoff + back 1 1/2 = A + C

You start with the special requirements and the value part requirements and if you have everything there you have a 9.5 SV.
Acro series with 3 skills or 2 directly connected saltos - CHECK
Three different saltos - CHECK
Dance passage with two different group 1 elements, 1 a leap with 180 split - CHECK
Last salto minimum of "C" value - CHECK
2Cs, 3Bs, 3As- harder value skills can count for lower value skills, so you are good here with 1D, 3Cs, 4Bs, and 1A.

Then you add bonus to the 9.5 SV to try to get up to a 10 SV.
Each D is worth +0.1 (and each E is worth +0.2), so you get +0.1 for the D.
A C+C dance connection is +0.1
A B + B direct acro connection is +0.1
A B + D direct acro connection is +0.2
This routine has +0.5 in bonus, so you are at a 10.0 SV.

Fuzi:

Thanks so much. Can you do a couple more? I am trying to get a better understanding:

1st routine:
Roundoff-BHS-2 1/2
Switch Ring-Tour jete 1/2-Sissone
Roundoff-1 1/2-front pike
1 1/2 turn
Roundoff-bhs-double full

2nd routine:
Round off-BHS-double pike
Switchside-popa
Roundoff-1 1/2-front pike
1 1/2 turn
Round off-Bhs-double back
