DD's 1st event was bars, which has been coming along all season but inconsistent in her dismounts (double pike), usually over rotating. She did a really nice routine, right up to the end, where this time, she under-rotated and fell - 8.575. Beam was 9.4 with a couple of wobbles, 7th place. Floor was also a usual routine, 9.3- 6th place.
Last event - VAULT, her favorite (currently) DD went with a goal in mind - it was kinda cute. Her teammate holds the current State Record for Jr B Vault. Little Monkey wanted to TIE her, so they could be on the list together
Well, she fell a little short, "only" scored 9.7 which put her in 2nd place. However, she DID tie with one of her good friends from another gym, they were on the same team at ages 6/7... so it was great that they were able to share the podium together. First place vault also did not break the record, so teammate's score still holds.
We are moving onto Regionals, finishing States with AA 36.975 and 7th place. She is very happy to be going to Regionals with her entire 9/10 team, all of our girls did great. Both level teams placed and DD was happy to contribute to their team score on 3 events.
