D*mn those bars...they are such an arse kicker!

Yes, they are. She can do her pirouette and is getting better and getting to handstand on her freehip but the new gym wants her to repeat so that she can have a successful year. She has been behind for so many seasons now. They want her to be prepared this time. By level 8 she will be very confident in those skills as well. She can flip her yurchenko.

Age 10 training 7/8. Competing 6 this year. She has only done Xcel to this point as I own an Xcel only gym so it should be an interesting transisition. Our platniums only work out 9 hours a week so we are only bumping her to 12 hours a week so it will be interesting to see how she fairs against kids who work out many more hours than she does.

Short Stack is 11 and has been told she'll be L6 (possibly, but not likely L7) this coming fall.

She started recreational gymnastics at almost 7, and L2 team at age 8.

They have to be 6 minimum to compete level 3 and 7 minimum for 4 if it's JO. Right?? Not that they can't work on the skills but to actually compete that was my understanding.

Correct we had a 5yo on the level 3 team this year she just practiced and did the "in house meet" with the girls. She is very excited to get to compete with them this year when she is 6.
