I would get specific exercises from a physiotherapist for strengthening the muscles that stabilise the problem joints. Gymnastics conditioning does build strength but may not target the specific muscles for her needs. See if you can find a physio who specialises in gymnastics or dance, rather than one who just treats injuries in the general population. My DD is seeing a dance physio (not for this particular problem) and we have found a big difference.
