Luckily, my kids haven't had any major injuries this season, but I have noticed what seems like a lot more injuries this year for many optional gymnasts. I thought both of my kids' gyms did a good job in trying to ramp back up slowly after being closed for several months (both kept up with Zoom and at home assignments), and I know there has been a lot of talk about how great it was that most kids came back strong even after those Covid related shutdowns in 2020, but I'm wondering if there might have been a boomerang effect with injuries showing up many months later? I realize my data is anecdotal, so I'm curious if others have noticed an increase in injuries this year?

Have not seen this at our gym...we haven't had any increase in injuries. But we only had two months actual shutdown in mid 2020, so it wasn't that huge of an impact.

I think that the injuries we had on our team are ones that would of happened eventually anyway so I would say no.
