Proud Parent
I'm curious to know what's most common as far as the times of day kids are practicing. At our gym, Xcel and Rec. are what mainly constitute the 3:00-6:00PM hours and the JO girls mainly train during the 6:00-9:00PM time frames.

*You can select more than one reply if you're a parent to more than one gymmie with different schedules.

THANKS! :)

Currently, my DD who is training level 4 has practice from 4:00 - 8:00. I'm less thrilled about next year's schedule - it shifts from 4:30 - 8:30; but I completely understand that they need to do it for the middle school kids who are on this level (I believe that there are several 6th graders). Middle school kids have had to be late to every practice this year since school doesn't even get out until around 4:30 (might be like 4:20... I'm not exactly sure) and then they still have to drive. I believe that the new schedule is a compromise - yeah, the middle school kids will still be a little late; but not like 45 minutes late; but also the elementary kids will at least be out by 8:30.

DD is still on L3 schedule, practicing from 3:30-6:30. But our L4 and up practice from 5:00 to 8:30 on most days, so I voted the second option. No idea yet what our L4 schedule next year will be like (if DD moves up to L4).

I didn't vote as we are in the UK, but P&F goes 5-7.30 Mon, Tues 4-8 Fri, 10-1 Sat, the older girls train til 8 Mon & Tues but the younger ones go earlier. She is 10 and normal bedtime (on non-gym days) is 7.30 so its a 30 minute drive home so gym nights are later. I would no way let her train til 9

DD just moved up to the full training schedule (level 7 and up-20 hrs a week) and it is 4-8pm, Tues-Sat.

Practice hours at our gym vary between 3 and 9. Most everyone is out by 8:30. When you come and go just depends on level and schedule and number of hours/days etc.

our practices are 5:30 to 8. It used to be 5-730 (and rec would start at 530), but when team got bigger, it made sense to start rec at 5 and team at 530 so the floor would be clear for team to warm up . I wish it would go back to 5-730 now that we have a separate rec area... that way, my gymmies wouldnt have to leave early so often.

I didn't vote, we are in the uk.

My youngest dd (7) goes twice a week - 6pm to 8:30pm.

My Oldest dd (10) goes 3 times a week :
Monday - 5pm - 6pm (rec trampolining)
Thursday - 6pm - 8pm
Saturday- 2:30pm - 4pm

The most common times for this level in Australia are a split of the two as most will train about 3 1/2-4 hours.

Common configurations are 4:30-7:30, 4:30-8:30, 3:45-7:45, 4:00-8:00. 4:00-7:30

We only have L6/L7 at the gym currently. They train M-T-Th from 5:30-9, F from 4-8:30, and Sa from 2:30-6:30. Our rec classes usually start between 6-7 during the week, and 9-11 am on Saturdays. Xcel practice 5:30-8:30 twice a week.

My DD is in a level 4 group training for level 6. They go 4:30-7:30 M, T, TH & F. It used to be 4-7 but our school district's elem doesn't dismiss until 3:45 now. In the fall if she competes 6 then it'll be every day 4:30-7:30.

Our rec classes have a completely separate gym on the other side of the building so classes over there run at tbe same time.
