I think there might be a danger that if lots of girls are having regular privates then people might feel obliged to have them too incase their dd falls behind. Kind of peer pressure for parents. lol. Children do come on with individual attention of course they do. Then it might become a parental competition to leapfrog their children above other children by using privates. That could become a very ugly sort of expection and competition. We parents are just not rational sometimes. Perhaps that is why some gyms discourage them. I think we all worry about our children falling behind is school/ sport/ whatever. If your dd needs weekly privates over a long period (without a specific reasong like TOPS or injury) I would say your child is in the wrong level or wrong gym or you have succumbed to parent peer pressure lol.
