I do have a question how do you compete in bronze and silver both? Also we're you guys at Nationals in Tampa?
In USAIGC, you can do all four events on your main level and also up to two events on the next level up. It was in Orlando this year. :)

I loved watching her video! She looked very polished and confident on all events. Will she be a silver the next season? What are the requirements in silver?

I'm a bit surprised to see how high are the bronze requirements, given that it's the second level in the USAIGC program. It seems like a pretty competitive program.

Always great to see great gymnastics by dedicated and hardworking gymnasts! Keep up the good work!
It’s not an exact science, but I’d say IGC Bronze is L4/5ish and Silver L6/7ish. Silver is 5 As and 2Bs like L7, but the angle requirements for leaps/casts ect are gentler. This is a link to all the rules if you are interested.

She is very much hoping to be Silver next year (and already is working on a Gold bar routine lol) but I don’t know. Our gym likes to be competitive and moves kids up pretty slowly. She has all her skills for Silver (for beam she’ll switch her BWO into BHS and add another B-I think a tuck half or a 3/2 turn? I’m no expert!) Vault will be the same, but that’s where she’s struggling. They want her run to be stronger. So we’ll see!! Fingers crossed! She wants it so badly.

Ok, so I made an iMovie of all 9 routines. I am NOT very tech savvy so sorry it’s not too fancy! I used the same code as I always do, but if you don’t know it I’ll pm it to anyone interested! I just get nervous about creepers when it’s on a main forum. Just remember she’s not a TOPS kid or anything! (And her Silver bars are usually sooo much better) I’m still super proud! :) Thanks for everyone’s kind words and support :)

Please send me the password :)

No need to specify she's not a TOPS kid - her accomplishments are HER accomplishments, and they are just as important to her!!! ;)

Trifecta complete! Puma Jr is USAIGC 11 yr old Bronze Uneven Bars State, Regional and World Champ! (This is the part where I say yes I know USAIGC isn’t as competitive as JO and yes it’s a little crazy it’s called “Worlds” lol...but I’m still super happy for her! )She also is 2nd on beam. Who knew?! Lol She pulled her best beam routine of her life out at the right time. Her Bronze sessions went great actually (AA, then top 15 of 42 made Event Finals and competed again the next day in the events they qualified for. She had her best Bronze floor of the season AND was almost made Vault EF, tying for 16th place. Yeah running coach!! She was fifth AA. The Silver AA session went well, she did not have a good Silver bar routine for her, but it was good enough to tie for third and make EF. And her Silver floor was awesome! 9.175 for 14th place, they took the top 12 (of 37) to EF and two tied for 12th so they took them both. I think first kid to not get into EF on your “bonus event” is pretty awesome! But Silver EF....uggg...the magic had to end. She fell on the squat on. Totally uncharacteristic. Some friends pointed out that she actually kind of saved it? (I have video) Like she somehow still caught the bar, but either way, it was an awful routine and dropped her to fifth :( The winner was an 8.875, which she has beaten every time except the one tragic learning how to fuel for two sessions meet. So 7 of 8 times. Her score from her sub-par AA routine would have even won. But, this is how this crazy sport goes! I’m still super proud of her and her awesome season! We celebrated at Disney and are now en route home. Thanks as always for following the adventures of Puma Jr! :)
