National. The general way it goes is state, regional, national.

In the UK it is County competitions then Regional competions and then National Final competitions. Not all regions run county competitions. You qualify from one to the next. Lower level competitions don't have a national final. Higher level competitions tend to have a national final.

We also have regional and national grades competitions. National grades are a higher level than regional grades.
