WAG Sewing leotards

Hi all!

I have started to learn how to sew leotards. Does anyone else sew? I would love to chat about different techinques etc. I've made two leos so far but it has taken a lot of practice to sew lycra and elastics. What I'm still struggling with is sewing pretty bindings to the neckline and arm holes. Does anyone have any tips for that?

I have been sewing my own and my teammates' for years. I'd highly suggest getting a serger. For the bindings, I would follow the Jalie method. (Try using their 3138 leotard pattern). It's worth it!

Thank you for answering! I do have a serger and it helps a lot. I will look into that Jalie pattern. I have used a pattern from Etsy!
