Simone Biles will be replaced in the vault final by MyKayla Skinner. A decision on Simone's availability for floor, beam finals has yet to be made.

I’m sad for Simone that she had to make this difficult decision. But proud of her for doing so. And happy for MyKayla too. What a crazy ride for her! I hope she can kill it.

no surprise there. It was an expected announcement. Happy that MyKayla gets another shot to compete/medal. Given what she is saying and where she is at the moment, unlikely she will return for floor or beam either. Wishing her the best in recovering fully from this and her other injuries.

I don’t think either of them can replace her. Neither placed in the top 8 in qualifications.

Neither of them, in my opinion, can take her place. In terms of credentials, neither of them made the top eight.
