Just curious if there is a spotting deduction for compulsory levels if a coach is on the floor during a routine/tumbling pass but does not touch the gymnast

Nope. Coach can be on the floor for compulsory levels. No deduction unless they touch.

Thank you! Kiddo working past a bad fall on back tuck. Can do them again with light spot and sometimes no spot but her confidence took a big hit and who knows how long till she's comfortable doing without coach right next to her. She's also got major fears of bwo on beam. Awww the trials and tribulations of an older, taller gymnast. She's hanging in there and working hard so hopefully will be fine in a few months for a l5 score out meet.

Also, if your gymnast touches the coach by accident, perhaps by kicking, (and the coach obviously wasn't spotting) there is also no deduction.

No deduction, but at the same time, our coach won't go on the floor in a meet. So, the girls either do it...or they dont. The girls know this is how the coach feels, so it is never even thought of that she might get on the floor during routines...hope your daughter comes through it well!
