I am curious, how many hours a week does your upper level optional gymnast train and what is the monthly cost (excluding meet fees, leotards, travel, etc.)?

Training level 6... $420 for tuition per month. About $1000 per year in meet assessments. About $300-500 per year in uniform costs (they try to alternate leotards with warm-ups... use for two years... new ones in alternate years).

For 20 hours a week.

I think our admin person told me our upper levels pay a maximum of $230 per month.... I thought that was a lot. Silly innocent me.

Competition leos don't change, ever, so once you have one, you are sorted until it is either too small or falling apart. Competitions are between $40 and $120 plus own travel and accommodation. Not sure if coaches are paid separately for competitions, they are not at lower levels.

At our gym L5/6 20hrs/w - $375, L3/4 16 hrs/w, pre-team 4hrs/w - $120.
All uniform and initial competition fees for level 3/5 $1250. Some extra charges occur later during competition season (travel expenses, etc)

Level 10, ~23 hours/week, $430 a month for tuition only. Coaches fees additional per month during season. Plus meet fees, Leo/warm-up, choreo, etc.

Level 7 (training 8) 16 hours a week, $350 per month, $2000 yearly assessment fee, apparel fee an additional $450 (ish), but once you buy warm ups they keep them several years. Leo wouldn't be new this year, but the ones from last year had a quality issue so changing manufacturers.

All meet and coaching fees are included in the yearly assessment.
