Wearing socks in Winter

In Winter, when I do gymnastics, its freezing cold in my gym as there is no heating. As I warm up my body is not as cold, but my feet are really cold. Is it a good idea to wear socks?

They're fine when you're warming up or doing conditioning, but once you start doing skills you will need to take them off since they might make you slip (except on bars it may be ok depending on what skills you're doing).

Though they are not popular you can buy special gym shoes, which might help if you can get on with them.

Otherwise if your gym allows it stirrup leggings might help a little by covering your ankle and midfoot but leaving your heel and the ball if your foot and toes free.
