What are considered "dance" moves on the beam and floor. Level 7 can now have (since sometime last competition season) have one C dance element on the floor and beam. What counts? What have you seen in competition or did you see any c skills in level 7?

My dd did a switch leap on beam at level 7 and that is a C on beam... I think switch side or switch ring on floor would be a c that you might see...

The c's are usually not worth it because there is no bonus or C requirements until level 9... you see alot more at level 8 though!

My dd also did a switch leap on beam in L7. She may have done it on floor as well...can't remember. She's a good leaper, so I guess they thought it was worth it. Not sure how/if it impacted her scores....the risk may not be worth it.

Only A and B elements plus one C dance element are allowed on beam and floor.
So for example, on floor, a leap that has to be a 180 degree cross or side split position is required for L7.
Hope that helps:0)
