What level am I in, according to the Xcel program? I’ve been telling everyone it’s level 3 or 4 but I’m starting to think it may be a level even lower than that. The gym I go to is purely recreational, so it’s based on age and not level. I Here are the skills I know:

Bars-

Pullover
Back hip circle
Front hip circle
Glide swings
Long hand swings
Beat swings
Tuck on
Straddle dismount on low bar
Working on flyaway into foam pit

Beam-
An assortment of kicks
A few small leaps and turns
Cartwheel
Roundoff Dismount
Working on handstand

Vault (soft practice vault, can’t do much on a real one)-
Handstand to flat back
Dive roll
Front tuck
Front handspring
Handstand (on real vault)
Handspring on real vault, but only with a spotter

Floor-
Forward and backwards rolls
Dive roll (very low dive)
Handstand, hold for 3-4 seconds, 5 on a good day
Cartwheel
Pop and dive cartwheels
Really close to an aerial, I think I’ll have it in a few weeks
Backbend kick over
Front limber (inconsistent and bad form)
Front handspring ( also inconsistent )
Splits all the way down on one side, not sure if that’s a skill
140* split leap
Variety of leaps and turns and kicks

Thats all I know for now, along with the stuff I’m working on, like back walkovers, middle splits, high bar pullover, etc. Not looking to compete, I just want to know for reference!

Level 3... you need a kip on bars and round off 2 back handsprings on floor.

Sounds like you are having a good time in gymnastics... keep it up!

Yikes, I must be in level negative 3 XD
At least I can start aiming for a BHS as soon as I perfect my backwalkover.
I forgot to mention roundoff in the list, so maybe I’ll be level three in a few months.

No no… you need the kip for L4.

You do need a RO-BHS for L3 though.

Xcel Silver or Level 3. Though you need a full turn on floor and a split leap - jump connection.
To get to Gold you would need:
Bars
Jump/Leap to the high bar
Some gyms require a kip-cast connection
Beam
Full turn
Split jump straight jump connection
Handstand
Vault
Front Handspring or Half-on/Tsuk entry over table without spot using a springboard
Some gyms require one vault over the other
Floor
Front tuck
ROBHS or FHS-SO-RO

Good luck!

A little lol but think xcel bronze would be great fit for you but if you are below the age of 9 I recommend level 2 also think level 3 would be doable if you get your round off backhand spring.
