WAG What to eat

Hi everyone,
I wanted to know what is good to eat for meals and also as snacks that would give me enough energy to get through practice an stay focused. I don't really know anything about nutrition but wanted to know if anybody had any recipes or advice for me on meals that would give me a lot of energy!
 
I dont know very much on this topic either! This is what I know:
Protein gives you energy, so noodles I'm pretty sure has protein.
Snack-wise, I just pick something healthy and simple to eat before and after training. For meets, the same, but more of it. For example, I will pack some sort of fruit, I love carrots, so I like packing those, nothing complicated.
Overall, you don't want to eat anything too crazy right before or during a meet! You could get sick.:(
