We are currently debating the correct body position for a wolf jump. Should the bent leg be at a 90 degree angle or tuck under towards buttocks ? The USAG dance tech isn't very specific. Thx.

In the images from the COP it looks like it's bent more than a 90 degree angle.

A couple of images of elites doing wolf jumps also show more than 90 degree bend. I don't think there's a specific deduction for not enough bend in that bottom leg, but I'd imagine if the leg is not even bent to 90, it might be credited as a pike jump with deductions.

At a recent clinic with a FIG judge and USAG technical committee member, she was emphasizing that the bottom leg should be very bent with the heel towards the buttocks.

The FIG rules say that the hip angle should be maximum of 90 degrees and the straight leg should be over the horizontal line. The knees should also be together.
