Here are a few examples of some poems I have written so far

Poem 1
When the sweat is pouring down your face,
You feel so tired and weak,
You wonder why you drag yourself here,
When progress seems so bleak,
And yet, you have limped in for more,
With your courage slightly battered,
Your not like all those other girls,
Whose hopes and dreams they shattered,
Your strong and determined,
And you're here from best to worst,
You've got your eyes fixed on your goal,
It's not all about coming first,
You're going to give it your all,
And be the best that you can be,
Because at the end of the day,
That is the true victory.

Poem 2 (My favourite so far)
When you've tried and tried and tried again,
Through all the tears and all the pain,
And yet that move won't work out right,
You know practice makes perfect,
But you'd be here all night,
Don't go home thinking you've let yourself down,
You can try it again when the next training comes round,
Even though you think it's not worth the pain,
Just try a bit harder each time you train,
And eventually that move will work out just fine,
All because you were willing to spend the time,
To push a bit harder though it seemed you weren't moving,
And with a quality like that you'll just keep on improving.

Poem 3
The day has arrived,
It's finally here,
Your moment is waiting,
you've been training all year,
Through blood sweat and tears,
you've had to fight,
so get out on the floor,
tonight is your night,
head up,
be proud,
you have nothing to lose,
you've got courage and determination,
do with it what you choose,
it doesn't matter what you come,
just show them you have pride,
make sure you know you're never alone,
I'll be cheering from the side,
so even if you don't become,
number two or even three
just remember all the time,
you're number one to me.

I'll take any requests!

I am struggling with frustration. I get frustrated easily because I am a perfectionist, like most gymnast's. I would love a poem on how to keep working hard even through the bad, hard days. But the poems you've already written kind of work for my situation, though!

Finished!

Okay here is your poem, I would love if you could give me some feedback as to what you think! and if there is anything you don't like about it just tell me and I'll try and fix it.

Persistence

It's another one of those days,
You're sweating in the gym,
Nothing seems to be working right,
Any minute you could give in,
But giving up is something that you should never do,
What is the point in gymnastics if it doesn't challenge you?
So hold your head a bit higher,
And try harder every time,
Because a whole lot of persistence,
Is what makes a true gymnast shine,
So next time you get frustrated,
And feel like you could walk out,
Just hear this in your mind,
"It's what gymnastics is all about"

Enjoy!:)

So true! But umm,, could you do a poem on the feeling of a new skill? That would be great!!!

Here is your poem Itstrueimagymnast I don't have a title for it, but I guess you could make one up if you wanted. I'm sorry if it isn't what you wanted

You're frozen, scared, stuck to your spot,
You're not sure if you can do it,
But if no-one ever tried something new,
Gymnastics would have nothing to it,
Take a deep breath and know we're all by your side,
You wouldn't be here,
If you had never tried,
So give it your all,
And don't be afraid,
Everyone's behind you all of the way,
So whenever you're scared of trying something new,
Just remember,
It's what you love,
It's what you do.

Please tell me what you think!
