This includes, but is not limited to: name, address, phone number, and email. If you must give out such information, please do so privately.

Debate Respectfully

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

  3. Mods cannot play favorites towards another forum member.

Moderator Resources

  1. Admins are available to help with decisions.
  2. The “Back Office” forum is available for moderators to post questions about moderating and for support.

Moderators are asked to check in with either with an Admin, or to post in the “Back Office” forum when locking, editing, deleting posts. This is in attempt to cut down on the subjectivity of moderating by having more than one person's input when modifying posts.

Moderator words and actions are visible to the entire community, and they are role models. Remember this when conducting yourselves.
