the gym i currently work at is about 15 mins away. the gym i worked at when i lived in texas was 7 miles from my house but about 20 mins each way because of traffic. I may be getting another job at another gym but the next closest one is about 45 mins to an hour away.

7-8 year old tops is purely strength and 9-11 is strength and skills and thousands and thousands of girls try out and never make it...i personally only know a few people who made tops when they were younger and they tried out all five times and all of them only made it once or twice even though...
I want to start doing gymnastics again I have been spending the last two months working on getting back in shape but at the gym i work at there really isn't a very good training facility to do anything high level and i couldn't do bars at all because i don't have grips and the bars aren't set...

both Cincinnati girls have competed elite, Douglas competed elite, skinner i believe has qualified for elite, wang qualified for elite, carroll has competed elite, and beers has competed elite (she wasn't really a factor since she hurt her knee right before the comp. and only competed bars but...
it was meant for junior olympic girls...meaning girls who compete levels 1-10 in the usa gymnastics program but specifically for this meet it was level 10's who qualified for this meet...many many of the girls have already competed elite or at least tested to become elite.

I know a lot of gyms that will hold girls back so they can make a large jump, the most popular jump is from level 5 to level 8 or 9 depending on how many years the girl has been held back. they will train them higher level skills from the time they are in level 4...one girl at my level 5...
i do all my tumbling right but all my turning and twisting is left i also leap right but on beam i could never twist because i round off right and twist left so it was just way to confusing so i never twisted off beam. she could be both it really doesn't matter what she is as long as she does...
I have absolutely horrible knees (6 surgeries total) and I very rarely sit. I'll kneel to spot some skills on floor or help with stretches or things like that but i don't often sit. It lean sometimes but only when I am not spotting or have no intention of spotting because the girls are doing...
