I’m a parent looking for insight. We are in Central Texas and have been at a few gyms over the years. There seems to be difficulty finding coaches with experience to coach higher levels. Gyms are able to find rec coaches, but not for team.
Is there a lack of availability? Or is it like...
I think “negative” can be a perception. A coach may say a gymnast is really struggling or we should switch his skill or we should separate the chatty friends. Not necessarily mean spirited but not what you want the whole team to hear.

Similar situation here in Central Texas. Bought two different gyms, shut down the competitive programs with 5 days notice at one. Transferred one of those coaches to our gym but she has since quit. They closed the other gym after a few months.
Interesting to hear that the coaches were able to move. Our coaches were given a Non Compete agreement to sign. We are in fear that they won’t be able to coach anywhere else.
