This is the list of gyms currently owned by Powers. There are still a couple missing because of the way Powers masks ownership. The majority of these gyms have all seen Powers shut down their women’s XCEL and JO programs. Some with very little (if any) notice. Several of the previous owners...
The non compete agreements expired after 6 months to a year, which is precisely the amount of time that the competitive programs survived under their new leadership.
The ‘about us’ video on the site highlights the significant investment from Powers Group. Happy to see the men’s program get some funding but really sad to hear all of the stories from the gymnasts in the JO program who have lost their competitive programs. If the trend continues where they...
Fingers crossed for you! Such a strange situation for all of us parents who have kids that love the sport of gymnastics to be dealing with when we have so little information about this Powers Group’s plans and goals.
Do you know if they had the coaches sign non compete agreements...
I think you are right and meanwhile, they are disrupting the lives of competitive gymnasts by shutting down their programs to implement rec activities that are more profitable. What is crazy to me is that they are flying under the radar. You can’t find much on them by searching the internet...
I hope you are right because that is definitely the way the article is framed. However, the reality sounds a bit different. Many of the gyms they are buying have talented optional and elite level gymnasts that are told they need to find a new gym because Powers is shutting down the...

Has anyone had experience with Powers Gymnastics? I am curious to hear about it and if it was positive or negative.
It sounds like Jill Powers owns this company and is buying up quite a few gyms in Arizona, Texas, and North Carolina. She appears to be shutting down quite a few of the...
We have been spoiled with multiple pits at our gym. While I am sure that there are other options to teach the harder skills without a pit, I think it would be a bit more difficult. I think it is easier for the gymnasts to learn new skills with the pit being one of the stepping stones.
