I'm sure I'm not alone coaching gymnastics on top of a full time job, so I'm hoping for some help!
I'm switching groups that I coach starting this summer. With two jobs already, I don't know that I have the time or energy to make a whole new set of plans for multiple groups on top of that...
This would not have a 10.0 start value at Platinum. While either FHS-RO and FP could fulfill SR #2 (B salto or acro flight series), neither is an acro flight series with a salto as required for SR #1. 9.5 SV

It may not be the reason for the policy change, but the girls I coach are very excited and have said they feel so much more comfortable with shorts, so I guess reason or not, that is the end result for some.
I am happy with the change, though I would prefer "black, navy, or solid color...
I think you're mixing up Diamond and JO. Diamond requires a min "B" circling skill but does not specify the group it comes from. It also requires another min "B" skill that is a release, pirouette, or second circling skill that can be the same or different as the one used previously.

Her current routine works.
Substituting kip-cast handstand 1/2-kip-pike on on for the current low bar & keeping the current high bar would also work.
A double back dismount is a C so it is allowed in Diamond.
She's good to go with room to grow her skills!
If she is an Xcel Gold, then B saltos are not allowed so no front pike or front layout. She could do the side aerial or an isolated front tuck.
FHS-FT first pass and FP (or FLO) second pass will be perfect for when she is ready for Platinum. FHS-FP and FHS-FT (or a layout for either one) will...
As a judge, if one can't see a gymnast's line while the gymnast is wearing shorts, I question one's judging ability. The men wear shorts or pants for their events and some female gymnasts compete in body suits now. When I push back on my fellow judges and coaches with that, the argument almost...
You can add Delaware to the list of states with restrictions on interstate travel for youth sports. Their teams cannot leave for competition, other teams cannot travel there for competition starting Dec 1st.
I skipped this season. I made the decision in the summer due to an unrelated personal reason but even when that reason evaporated in the fall, I did not sign up to judge meets because I had no confidence there would be much of a season to make paying the fee$ worth it. Add to that, at the meets...
I got curious and did some searching:

FTA: The timing of their presentation was unusual, explained Stanford T. Shulman, MD, a professor of pediatrics in infectious diseases at Northwestern...
I think that's a possibility. The whole division might get a boost from girls who decide they want to come back but not live in the gym anymore or girls who have fears set in after time off.
I can see paths for single-year bumps in Gold and Diamond who train JO hours and compete Xcel one...
I coach Xcel which is used at my gym for older starters and girls who want to participate in activities besides just gymnastics. They are primarily age 12-15. I fully expect that half of the girls I coach will never return.
Several of them have said during meet season that they only do...
I am a part time coach (team, not rec). It is my side job - it is something I enjoy doing and it brings in money for hobbies/fun while my main job is dedicated to paying the bills. I am not sure if I will go back - I loved coaching, but I finding I am loving the time to spend on myself as well...
