Parents Best grips for small hands level 9

I want to say my daughter had Gibson just right grips and some of her teammates had pixie grips? I could be wrong it was a while ago… but my daughter was teeny tiny when she got her first pair. Even now she’s a 00 and she’ll be 14 soon!

Women Repeat level 9 vs. level 10?

My daughter did level 9 twice. Her first year was decent.. but she did amazing her second year in level 9. Her confidence is sky high. It was definitely worth it as she became rock solid and consistent in her routines and skills. She is finishing up 8th grade and will do level 10 next year...

Parents 5 year old pre team

My daughter was 6 when I put her at a local gym… she was bored like your daughter! She could do cartwheels, kickovers, headstands, etc all by herself while the other kids weren’t even close. Her coaches were teenagers .. which is fine but they just had no clue. So we stayed for the month I paid...

Women Weekly Practice Limits - 16 Hours

I’d say that is good… she’s 10. Even if she wants to go elite. Is she in school too? You don’t want her to burn out. Just my opinion. It happens a lot. Maybe around 13 up the hours.

    Parents Struggling with vault

Yeah.. if she’s 6 I wouldn’t even care about her vault. My daughter didn’t even start gym until 7. Vault was her weakest event- if she got above a 9 she was ecstatic. Now she’s 12 and a level 9 and wins vault all the time. It was level 8 when she became a good vaulter

Parents Is two hours to much for a four year old

Dang. 4 is a baby! My daughter started gym at 6. Kinda similar situation, they tried to put her on the level 2 team to compete that fall. I said no so she did pre team for a year. I want to say it was 1.5 hours twice a week? She loved it. She didn’t compete until she was 8. Now she’s a 12 year...

Parents Any tips for weak vaulter?

Ok, for what it is worth. My daughter would score high 9s for floor bars and beam in level 7. And usually 8.5-9 on vault. She did yurchenko timers. Now she usually wins vault! She won every level 8 meet for vault and is doing great in level 9 as well. Soooo flipping and timers are most...

Parents Too many hours (gymnastics) / switch sports

Agree that 25 hours is too much! My daughter is a level 9 and is at gym 22 hours a week. I feel like she’s always there with 22 hours a week! That’s the highest our gym goes hour wise and I feel it is plenty. Do the hours increase from 25? I wouldn’t think she could do school with more hours...

    Women Level 9 floor routine

My daughter is competing 9. No double back - want to say she’s going to do a ro bh 1.5 front pike… and a front layout front full and I’m guessing one other pass. I think it’s a 10 start but not sure. Agree that if they’re going to do level 10 for 3-5 years it doesn’t matter at all.
