Just heard from our coach that nationals have been cancelled. I am sure they will send out more info later on whether or not they are trying to see about rescheduling. But for now, the word is, cancelled.
Congratulations to all the competitors at JO Nationals 2019. it was awesome witnessing some of the amazing gymnasts from around the country. DD's JrD group was on fire and won the session with a 154.050. It was rough waking up and having to compete at 5AM California time but DD did an amazing...
There isn't going to be a live stream for the Men's JO Nationals, right? I thought I heard rumblings of it earlier on in the season, but maybe it was just complaining or hoping. I realize the men's side isn't as crazily intense as the girls, but you figure the costs of sticking an Ipad or...
Congratulations to all the gymnasts who qualified for JO Nationals. Regardless of whether you came from a huge age group or a smaller group/region, it still takes a ton of hard work and dedication. Hopefully, the huge discrepancy is some of the age groups this year will cause USA Gymnastics to...
The website for nationals is live! Link Removed
In poking around, I noticed the following information on qualification to event finals for JO athletes:
"The Top 36 AA in each single age year (Top 72 Level 8: 12 year olds) will advance to Finals. The Top six in any individual event not already...
What is the difference between A B and C at JO nationals? In other words how do they decide on these groupings?
You'll have to excuse me if this is a ridiculous question, I'm not American and it was my first year watching/following JO nationals.
Can someone explain what it means when a gymnast put JO Nationals Qualifier or Elite Qualifier in their profile? Does it mean they have competed in these competitions? Thanks.
Hey all,
I just wanted to post a quick word about JO Nationals in Indy this year. Since we live a couple hours away, I told DD we could go watch some of the girls from her gym, but noticed hotel reservations on the meet page aren't available yet. In the meantime, DH and DS have signed up to...
WHEW is all I can say....as a host team family we all worked so hard all weekend to pull this meet off. In the midst of the controlled chaos...Sophia competed. First was floor...gorgeous routine and a fall on last pass....I held my breath and she did a beautiful vault (Start Value 9.7) and...
You would think that it would be fairly simple - take the number of L10s and divide them evenly into 8 age groups. Of course, many won't qualify for regionals but you still should have a pretty even number across the board. But that doesn't seem to be the case if there are some age divisions...
Does anyone know if the Blackjack Meet is a Capital Cup format? What about JO Nationals?
Just wondering as there was talk at our gym that the Blackjack was a good meet to experience Capital Cup format before Nationals.
Trying to verify if that is true.
Thanks!
