Today was our first big comp of the year and the girls all did extremely well! If they continue to improve as much as they did from the last comp we may have quite a few girls make it to the state team! What a great experience for them. There were a few ups and downs of course, but I was extremely proud of the way all of the girls performed both on and off the competition floor. They really made my day!
Unfortunately there were not enough judges today and I ended up alternating between judging floor and bars. This was great experience wise but was a bit tricky getting my head around judging a routine on one apparatus and then switching backwards and forwards with another.
Now back to training for 2 weeks before the next State selection trial at the end of the month.
