This is going to be my 3rd year competing as my first season I was bronze my second I was silver and this will be my 3rd season as a first year gold. My first two seasons i was at the same gym but this July i moved gyms because of a toxic coach and gym environment. Now at my new gym everyone is way ahead and I’ve definitely been putting way more stress on myself then I ever have before. As a result I’ve been struggling on events especially beam and floor. Floor is a pretty normal one for me to struggle on as I’ve always had a hard time getting my skills but beam used to be really good and is now falling apart, usually by the time season comes i would be ready to compete and have my skills consistent but my first competition is next weekend and I’ve been falling on all my skills. At this point i am not sure what I should do because I don’t want to go back down to silver but also don’t feel quite ready for gold.

If you don't want to drop back down to Silver, you basically have 2 options.
Option 1: Scratch the events you aren't ready on.

Option 2 (If the coaches will allow it): Compete routines that don't have 10.SV on Beam and Floor.
The first year my YG competed Xcel Gold, her beam only had a 9.0 SV because she didn't have a full turn or any acro. The way Gold is set up, if you don't get credit for BOTH acro skills, you lose the Special Requirement.
Just make sure you have 6 skills that count and you fulfill any SR that you can.
On beam, YG's routine was: leg swing mount, stand up, step, leap, scale, step, pivot turn, step, pivot turn, straight jump, straight jump, roundoff dismount.
