Women FIG Approves Obstacle Course Competitions As New Discipline

Did anyone else see this change from FIG? Given the recent popularity of American Ninja Warrior with former elite and NCAA gymnasts, I wonder if some "old timers" will get active with this.

Confirmation of the Executive Committee's decision to develop Parkour-inspired Obstacle Course competitions as part of a new FIG discipline. Confirmation of the road map (Decision-making process) leading to a World Cup Series in 2018 and 2019 and a first FIG World Championships in 2020.

that sounds like fun. if my son would participate in group sports, he would probably love this. but he's 7 and despises anything organized but is naturally gifted in several sports related areas.
