Has anyone used routinemusic.com? There's no "about" information on the website and there's no contact information. We're supposed to upload our music and pay $9.99, but a lot of us have questions and want more information. Like who's getting the money? Where is it going? Why does it cost so much? How does it work?

Never heard of it before. I looked into it. It looks like it was just created this year, and it's only for certain high-profile clubs.
If your club is on there, you could ask them.
If you're uploading your music to them, it seems like you're paying $9.99 for them to compile all of the floor musics for each level of your club, so the club can have them all in one place.
I am pretty sure the clubs can do this themselves for $0.00 (at least our coach does).

Good luck.

Following. Our gym also asked us to upload our music to this site (in preparation for meet season), and I looked at the site and I don't know if I feel comfortable putting in my CC info on a site that includes absolutely no contact information.

I'm not clear on what this site even does, and they don't appear to have any information whatsoever on..... well, anything.

I'd want some sort of clarification before doing anything whatsoever with a site/company like that

Right? They don’t explain how it works, there’s no physical address, no phone number, no FAQs, no way to contact them if there’s an issue. And if it doesn’t load correctly, you have to do it again and pay again.

When I got to checkout, it said "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nunc quam urna, dignissim nec auctor in, mattis vitae leo."

That's standard placeholder text in web design.

This an unfinished website with zero information about anything. This is the sort of thing web designers do as a beginner project, and don't bother fleshing out.

In no universe would I be giving this website my CC info

This is the list of gyms that pops up. Does this mean all of these gyms are using this site?

Definitely agree. I've created a few websites as personal projects. Most of them have don't have a secure database to store your personal credit card info, and could be visible directly to those handling this website. Be wary of putting any important information into this website.

Maybe, maybe not; it's entirely possible that some or all of those are just placeholder/dummy data used to test out whatever they're doing on the backend.

This website feels to me like something thrown together as a proof-of-concept for whatever they're doing on the backend, but the site gives zero indication of what it actually is they're doing.

Not necessarily anything nefarious -- as I said, it looks like it's just a proof-of-concept or a work-in-progress -- but definitely not something I'd trust with any private info whatsoever.
