Anyone have any good ideas for a gymnastics-related gift for my son (he is turning 8 in a month)? There are all sorts of gymnastics-related stuff for girls, but I was thinking a shirt or something unique that is geared towards boys. Thanks!

I found lots of boys gymnastics shirts at CafePress (its a personalization website). He has 2 T-shirts & a sweatshirt. His favorite one says - I'd rather be doing gymnastics. Funny how that one seems to come out when we have a different sports practice!

You could always take up a collection from everyone you know for a mushroom! <thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk>

More seriously, my guy has a sweatshirt from his gym with his team's name on it in which he practically lives. Does your gym have anything like that? He was also really pleased when we got him a nice set of practice pommel pants in his favorite color.

Along the same lines as Cafe Press, I like Zazzle. They have SO many different designs, and you can get a name or an inspirational quote or whatever put on the back, or under the design. A year or two ago my daughter was on a Kinajou kick and I managed to get her a shrit that said "I (heart) Kinkajous" and had a picture of a kinkajou on the shirt? How random is that? She also has a pet bearded dragon, and I've bought a number of bearded dragon shirts, or bearded dragon postcards (to send to her while she's at Woodward) from Zazzle too. If you get on their email list, they occasionally have really good sales and I stock up on t-shirts for upcoming gift-giving events.
