Hi there.
I am not sure if the parent forum is the best place to be looking for help with this issue. You refer to "your" gymnasts- are you a coach looking for advice on spotting? The insight I am feeling is that if you are unsure of how to teach/spot this skill, perhaps they are right to be scared.

To the OP I am generally confused by your posts. In each one you appear to be someone different. For example in this one, Link Removed , you appear to be the parent of a gymnast. In others you are a gymnast, and then in this current one your seem to be asking as a coach, but as a coach who clearly should not be coaching.

Not sure what your deal is, but you are getting very close to being banned.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
