So lucky for me I live near a metro stop. I am having a hard time finding a gym to start my training. As I am sure I will be going this alone until a coach realizes I am serious about my goals, which is fine - I am just having an issue finding a gym. I am finding that a lot of places say No one above the age of 23 can use the equipment and that is even for Open Gym.

If anyone in the area knows where I can go, work on my skills either early in the morning as to not disrupt the daily operations or at night or an open gym that will allow me to use their equipment, your help is appreciated. I thought learning the basic skills all over again was going to be my biggest challenge but apparently its finding a gym in the area! ANy info would be great.

I tried the Prince George County complex - they have open gym hours but only for a half hour and only 3 days a week. Not enough time. I am looking to spend 15 to 20 hrs a week in the gym as much as I can, while I can. I tried the local gymnastics clubs around Silver Spring but they are the ones saying about the too old for the use of their facilities.

Thanks all :)

Only thing I could really find is Hills Gymnastics in Maryland. They say adult gym is available for ages 18 and up. But that is all I can probably tell you, as I don't live in any of those areas you said. I live is Pennsylvania. Hope this helps anyway ;) (Wait, I dont know if this is competitive or recreational. Didn't say)

Yeah I used to live in NJ and believe it or not. the choices seem to be more down here than up there. There was one in North East PA - Marion County but it just seems so disorganized and lacking discipline. But thanks for the heads up on the one down here . You have been a huge help!! :)

;)You're welcome :-) (excuse the smiley before you're)

I train at a YMCA, but it is in PA. Maybe you will have one near you.
