I'm a new member, but have been reading here for a few months now. I have an 8yo daughter who decided earlier this year that she wanted to learn gymnastics. She loves it, seems to have a natural aptitude, and was invited to join the xcel bronze team a few months ago.

So, I've been trying to catch up with learning the ins and outs of parenting a gymnast and this board has been extremely helpful. I will most likely continue mainly reading without posting frequently, but I appreciate the information here and wanted to do a brief intro

Welcome! Will she be competing soon, or is the plan for her to train for a while before she does her first meet?

She's going to be competing starting in January. Her coach says she's ready and she's excited about it so we're supporting her
