Is there a national/region/state wide rule that xcel gymnasts have to attend a certain number of meets to qualify for states?

My state says that you need to get the qualifying score at one sanctioned meet during the season to qualify for the state meet. I recommend that you check to see if there is information on your state's website because the qualification rules do vary by state.

not a certain number of meets, but a qualifying score. Each level has a certain AA or IES score they need to qualify for states. It can vary per state.

Xcel state championships qualification is a state-level decision, and qualification can range from “complete in any one meet” to “compete x number of meets” to “score an xxxx AA score” to “score a xxx AA score at least x number of times.” I’ve seen all of the above in my years in the sport across different states.
