Hi!
I am the mother of an eight year old who practices at a USAIGC only gym. She is progressing well and will likely be invited to be on the team for the 2012-2013 season. Recently, she asked to attend gymnastics camp for the summer. She wants to do gymnastics for the whole summer and nothing else. I found a USAG gym along my commute to work that hosts such a camp. She tried a class there and loved it so much that she is asking to switch. Problem is it is not conveniently located for training after school. She loves her current gym too but liked that the new class was more challenging. Anyway, I now find myself wondering if I should be moving her to a USAG gym for next year or give her a year on the USAIGC team to see if she still feels the same next year. I am hoping get some perspective from this group as we move ahead.
Thanks,
Karen
