We reside in Gainesville, Virginia (between Warrenton and Manassas) in the western part of Prince William County, Virginia. Can anyone recommend a gym in that area? Thanks so much.

Go to the VAUSAG.com website and see which gyms are close to you. If you're right off of 29, I do know a few girls make that commute to Apex in Leesburg... but it's a haul!!! I know there's a gym in Warrenton, but don't know anything about it. There's also GMS in Manassas... good gym. Good luck!

GMS in Manassas or Apollo in Woodbridge. I know a lot of girls go to those two gyms from Gainesville but I'm not sure what parts. There is a gym in Warrenton but it's smaller. What level is your daughter? Are you moving there or are you switching gyms, or starting gymnastics completely?

Thank you for the information. It is very useful. My daughter is in level 4 and yes, we are new to the area.

I'd google map those two from the neighborhood and see how far. GMS is right off 66 and Apollo is off the PWC parkway (I think) so keep that in mind when doing the directions. If those two are too far let me know and maybe I can figure out if you're closer to something else. I think GMS and Apollo will be your best bets with GMS being probably closer to you if you live between Warrenton and Manassas in Gainesville. Both have teams at every level and nice facilities. I'd call and request to try a L4 practice at both, make the drive, have your daughter try it and then go from there.

Apollo is right off the Prince William County parkway, and it's a quick drive from Manassas with few stoplights.

If you're looking at Apollo, you might want to check out Youth Sports as well (I believe it's nearby). They're a smaller program, but some of their girls have done very well at states. My DD went to a week of their winter camp before and I was impressed by their facilities. Unfortunately all of the suggested gyms are too far for us to travel regularly -- they're all good programs.

Youth Sports is also in Woodbridge but it's a bit farther from the Gainesville area. It would be doable (as would Gymnastics World also in Woodbridge area) though GMS in Manassas is closer than these. It is a nice facility, relatively new. All of the facilities are nice. I'd call and request to try out to see where your daughter would be placed and how she likes it.
