I am new to this forum, and looking for a few opinions here. We just got our competition Leo in for this season. First competition of the season is in February. It's beautiful...except it's so loose it looks more like a cheerleading uniform. I know ACRO gymnastics is different so im not sure if rules are the same for traditional gymnastics. But for ACRO, if their skirt doesn't fall down properly after each skill or tumbling pass, they get a deduction. I'm scared of alterations because the material is so so delicate, basically like panty hose. What would you do?

I don’t have any knowledge in this area to offer advice, but I do have a question: what is the reasoning behind giving deductions for that? A skirt not falling fully back down seems like it’s not really under the athlete’s control, so I’m a little baffled. Is it considered to be a side effect of incorrect technique?
