Sitting here waiting at ortho. We have to first get her cast off, then an xray and finally see the doctor to see what the verdict is.

Good luck! DD's cast came off a little over 2 weeks ago (broken elbow), and she's almost fully back. Only remaining things are floor tumbling and vault. Just tell her to follow the doctor's advice, not go too fast and pay attention to what her body is telling her.

Not good news. She has damage to the growth plate and cartilage. She is being referred to a hand/arm specialist at Shriners Hospital.

Good luck! My niece has been cared for through Shriners for having her hip sockets not develop properly, and the care has been fully excellent. Some of the very best doctors in their fields.
