I'm curious to know if anyone here has had a child successfully petition to level 6? What did that consist of? Would she send a video of herself doing level 4 routines?

My daughter just turned 12, and is currently doing Xcel Gold. Her gym is fairly small, and it's possible that next season she might be the only child on the Platinum level next year. There is the possibility of petitioning to level 6, and it seems more likely that they will have a small but solid number of girls on that level.

It's not something that would be decided until the end of the season anyway, but I want to keep in mind what the process is, and if it's worth pursuing.

The petition would be coach initiated, include your daughter's date of birth and competitive history, and be videos demonstrating mastery of level 6 skills.

We had an athlete go the opposite way during COVID - she had never competed beyond level 4 in house even though she was training level 7 and then there weren't meets for a long time and she ended up switching to Xcel and training diamond. For the petition, we just sent videos of her intended diamond routines.
