Parents Private lesson etiquette

My daughters have their state gymnastics meet the his weekend. My older daughter has struggled a bit this season but is finally starting to catch up. In order to give her a little boost of confidence, hubby and I discussed her having a private lesson only to learn the coach was out of town. The coach has offered a 30 minute lesson to make up for this. How do I bring up the subject of payment? I don't want to offend the coach by suggesting they are only doing it for the money because I know they are not. However, I feel there should be some compensation. I'm sure neither of us wants an awkward situation.

I would just straight up ask how much it is for the 30 minutes. It is pretty standard that there is a fee, so asking how much should be fine.

I know what the normal fee would be. I feel that the coach has gone above and beyond for my daughter this season. I will definitely give her something.
