DD had her first "real" meet this weekend with her new gym. I knew she was improving and getting stronger, but I have to say I am SOOO proud of her.
There is definitely still room for improvement but she got first on Vault, 4th on bars (her weakest event) and 6th on Floor and Beam and AA. Would have done a little better on floor if she hadn't picked her wedgie.
She was so happy to be on the top of that podium for her vault. It was her goal to get to the top of the podium and frankly as a mom I was trying very hard to manage her expectations, but she did it. And learned a lesson in the process about hard work paying off.
