Hi all, my name is Sven and I'm part of a small university research team in Switzerland.

Personally, I'm a former patient — I had osteochondritis dissecans as a child myself — and I'm now part of a team trying to build a device for better treatment and understanding for the kids going through this today. We're at the esign stage of a smart compression knee sleeve specifically for children and adolescents with OCD of the knee. Gymnasts are over-represented in this population, especially around the operative-vs-conservative decision in early teens, which is why I'm posting here in particular.

A short anonymous survey would help us enormously — around 5 minutes, no email required:

- Patient / parent survey: https://kneely.ch/en/survey/patient

If you, your child, or a close family member has been diagnosed with OCD of the knee, your answers help us understand what the operative-vs-conservative decision and recovery actually felt like — which is the part that's missing from the medical literature.

Mods: happy to follow whatever process you have for research notices. If this isn't the right place, please let me know and I'll take it down. Not a commercial pitch — pre-company, pre-product, just trying to get the design right.

Thanks for the work this community does for young athletes.

- Sven
