Men Saturday's the day

First meet is Saturday! D is so excited. Even though it will be almost 2 months until the next one I think he is excited to see all his friends from other gyms. I swear he is one of the only kids that is always sitting with lots of kids from other places. I can't wait to see how his routines look, and to just have a good time!

Also interested to see the new judging system. The coach has been talking to the boys about it a bit so they aren't too shocked, but it will be interesting to see it in action.

Wow, good luck to him! I bet he will have a great meet! You have to tell us how the scoring goes. We have no idea what to expect, and our guys' first meet isn't until December. Is D doing L6 at this one?

Yes. he is doing 6 at this one...still hoping to be 7 by Feb but we will see

Good luck! It's nerve-wracking and exciting waiting for that first meet. Ours is Dec 1st and of course my DD is competing at 8am Saturday morning. Hope she's awake!

That is an early start to the season. We have our first mid Dec and I think that is early. I am hoping my son has a enough time to learn the new level routines by then. Yes, the scoring will be so weird with the most you can get around a 12 something. Good luck to your son!

Good luck to him! I agree that it will be culture shock with the scoring. I wish our boys were going to a small meet instead of one of their biggest ones as the first meet of the season.
