Looking for ideas to celebrate graduating seniors from our gym, especially since most of them will not be at the banquet because they’ll be moving on to college orientation, etc.

How does your gym celebrate your seniors’ last practices? Especially interested in celebrations for seniors who haven’t been recruited and didn’t have signing day celebrations. I hate the idea of these girls just walking out of the gym with no fuss!

We've done different things but last year had a "senior night" at the gym - parents brought food and put on a nice spread for the team - they picnicked in the parking lot and cars were set up tailgate fashion. After dinner everyone came back to the gym (which had been set up with twinkle lights and some other fun decor) to watch the senior videos (created by each senior or their parent). Then the coaches said a few words, maybe one of the juniors said something about each senior? I don't recall. And then the seniors got a gift - which is something the boosters does each year. The gifts change from year to year and I don't know what it was last year, but some things that have been given or kicked around are: bluetooth speakers, personalized laundry bags, personalized roller suitcases, toiletry bags with goodies inside, etc.

The practice after our Championship meet (where all the seniors in the Y District got celebrated - gifts presented by the coaches and "Senior Photo Boards " were displayed), we did a very small senior celebration. Each girl was presented with a copy of ALL their scores through the years, separated by season and level, on nice cardstock ... and handmade beaded star ornaments of different sizes.
The girl who competed for the High School and our team got a small and a medium star (because one was in her school colors and the other was in our team colors). The one that only competed for us got a bigger star in our team colors. The presents were because I had them just lying around my house from a fundraiser (unrelated to gymnastics) last year. My aunt had made them for us to try to sell at a bake sale. Since nobody bought them, and they were just sitting in cardboard boxes on a shelf except when the cats knocked them off, I went ahead and bought them for the girls.
Both girls loved them, so I guess i did something good.
🤗
