I got a sprained ankle on February 18, and went to the doctor on February 19 the doctor said no practice and to stay off of it, so that’s what I’m doing the doctor said that I can do gymnastics again on February 29 and I have a meet on March 1st should I compete RIGHT AWAY or wait till the next meet and take it easy? please help

Do NOT compete one day after being cleared to "go back to gymnastics." Make sure you ease back into practice. You may have some ankle weekness when you return, so be careful.
After you have sprained your ankle once, it is easier to sprain it again.
What kind of doctor did you see? If it wasn't an orthopedist or sports medicine doctor, you may want to consider getting a 2nd opinion.
In my experience, gymnasts with sprained ankles usually need PT to help strengthen everything around the ankle.

Its not a good idea to compete the day after your cleared from an injury. You should try to ease back into it slowly. If you go to the meet and just try to throw your skills without having practiced them you risk getting injured again
