Unbelievable. An incredible performance by the US team. So happy and emotional for them and their commitment as a team. A big CB high-five!!!!

Wow they really did a wonderful job :) the whole thing was so exciting to watch. So happy for all of them and yay for Canada and Romania too! I liked how the British girls were hugging the US girls--very touching to see :)

I enjoyed Shannon's commentary. I probably won't watch it again in prime time. I wish Russia didn't have the issues on floor but it was still exciting to watch.

So happy for the USA team, really great job. Also veryroid of the Canadian girls bringing it on and getting fifth place. That is a huge achievement for the team.

My dd is at practice and they livestreamed it for them to see floor and medal ceremony! L4-10 all together watching lol

They were going to try and do that at DDs gym too. On the Canadian broadcast, Christina Vaculik's gym was shown periodically, with all the girls there watching and in their competition leos! It was awesome!

And I just love to see the girls from all the countries cheering each other on and congratulating each other. True sportsmanship.

The USA team did amazing, so solid everywhere! It was great seeing them so united and so happy. Glad Jordyn especially was really able to shine and put prelims behind her.

Way to go Canada too. 5th place is awesome. Maybe by the next quad they can make it onto the podium. Wouldn't that be something?

I felt bad for the Russians, really unfortunate mistakes. Romania also kind of fizzled, especially after all of that hype about Iordache.

I actually watched the finals live on Chinese TV because I didn't want to deal with laggy feeds and at the end of course the media was talking to the Chinese girls and omg they were so upset they couldn't even pull it together to speak to the reporter, especially Yao Jinnan. They had to skip her, let her regroup, and then come back to her. She got as far as "this might be my only Olympics" before breaking down again. It was just about as sad as Jordyn on night one. I don't think I can handle any more tears this Olympics. :(

Marta said she wouldn't take an event specialist unless they were exceptional and that vault from Maroney was EXCEPTIONAL! Over a 9.7 on her execution score... INSANE!

I was so happy for Jordyn, heck of a night for her. Same for Kyla and Aly who were so solid.

But hello Gabby! Her AA total tonight was nearly 61.5. That's freaking huge. Here's hoping she puts that up in the AA final cause I can't imagine anyone, even Komova, toping that.

Very happy for Romania to get a medal with all that team has been through. And super kudos to Canada... 5th is just huge for them.

That final certainly didn't disappoint.

I was thinking about the Chinese girls and how they would be feeling.....while I haven't lived in China (though would love to!), I've been there for extended periods of time on a number of different occasions. I do understand how important it is for these Chinese athletes, their families and their country. (on quite a different level than for the US athletes). So hard.

Agreed....the tears this Olympics are too much! (I saw a photo of the woman from Korea who lost her medal in judo, I believe, due to a stuck timer?! What???!)
