Hi everyone, I'm struggling connecting my upstart/kip to my cast to handstand, and wondered if anyone has any tips? Not sure if it's a timing or strength issue, or both. Think it's also partly fear of leaning too far forward and collapsing over the bar 🙈 The first part of the following video shows some of my failed attempts from a few months ago:

It's so frustrating, because as you can see from the second half of the video, I'm working on giants, but if I can't get into handstand from an upstart I have little chance of getting it into a routine 🥲

I mostly train in adult open sessions after coming back to the sport as an adult for fun and fitness. Any advice welcome, thanks 😁

Just gotta wait a split second longer before you start the cast. Keep the feet in front while the shoulders get further forward
Thank you, I appreciate the input! Will try being a tad more patient with the cast whilst also being a bit braver with leaning forwards over the bar. Thanks!
